Below are our 4 types of membership levels, and the benefits and commitments of each.
Associate Member – 6 Month Commitment @ $125 a month
To join as an Associate Member, an applicant commits to a monthly membership fee of $125 a month for a minimum of six months; annual membership dues of $25; and a one time $35 orientation session fee. Membership will begin on the first day of the month and continue for 6 consecutive months. The total cost of the six month membership including start up fees is $810 which can be paid in monthly installments or as one upfront cost.

- 24 hour access to facilities and equipment
- Ability to reserve studio space on-line as far in advance as desired
- Ability to schedule blocks of up to 8 hours in the studio*
- Screen storage up to 10 screens
- Discounts on studio workshops
- Opportunity to sell products at ASPCO studio events
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Attend one-time orientation session (price included with membership fee)
- Attend quarterly meeting / information session / clean up day****
Artist Member – 12 Month Commitment @ $165 a month
To join as an Artist Member, an applicant commits to paying membership fees of $165 per month for an entire year; annual membership dues of $25; and a one time $35 orientation session fee. The total cost of one year of usage, including the membership dues is $2,040, with the option to pay monthly or for one upfront cost.
YEAR ROUND BENEFITS
- Up to 60 hours of studio time per month
- 24 hour access to facilities and equipment
- Ability to reserve studio space on-line as far in advance as desired
- Ability to schedule blocks of up to 8 hours in the studio*
- Onsite personal supply materials shelf (not including case goods)
- Screen storage up to 20 screens
- Discounts on studio workshops
- Opportunity to sell products at ASPCO studio events
- Option to hold solo gallery show or personal retail selling event for your brand at the ASPCO studio
- Ability to apply to have a printer’s assistant
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

- Attend quarterly meeting / information session / clean up day****
- Serve on one committee
Power User – 12 Month Commitment @ $310 a month
ASPCO can be a stepping stone shop for members growing their businesses, in some cases on their way to their own screenprinting studio and shops. This level is for members who are in the inbetween, before they are printing full time and in need of their own shop, but ready to grow out of that garage or temporary situation.
To join as an Power User, an applicant commits to paying membership fees of $310 per month for an entire year; annual membership dues of $25; and a one time $35 orientation session fee. The total cost of one year of usage, including the membership dues is $3,780, with the option to pay monthly or for one upfront cost.
YEAR ROUND BENEFITS
- 60-80 hours of co-op studio time per month (capped at 80 hours per month)
- 24 hour access to facilities and equipment
- Ability to reserve studio space on-line as far in advance as desired
- Ability to schedule blocks of up to 8 hours in the studio*
- Onsite personal supply/materials shelf (no case goods)
- Screen storage up to 20 screens screen storage
- Discounts on studio workshops
- Opportunity to sell products at ASPCO studio events (based on space availability)
- Option to hold solo show at the ASPCO studio
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- Attend one-time orientation session (price included in membership fee)
- Attend quarterly meeting / information session / clean up day****
- Serve on one committee
- Prints over 60 hours a month but no more than 80 hours a month (approximately 20 hours a week.
- Unlimited screen storage
- Opportunity for gallery or retail selling event 2x a year
Project Member – 1 Month Commitment @ $510 a month
The Project Membership is designed to meet the needs of highly experienced screen printers who need periodic access to a studio – such as if you’re visiting Austin for a month or two. To become a Project Member an applicant must pay $510 in full upfront, which includes annual membership dues, orientation session, and one month of usage fees. Subsequent months of usage are $460 per month. A Project Membership may only last a maximum of 3 months. Project Memberships will begin on the day your short orientation is completed and will continue for 30 consecutive days.

- Unlimited 8 hour work blocks in the studio*
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
- One reference to contact about your printing background
- Must have printed in the last year and have worked in a shop environment before
- Must have active working knowledge and experience of screen printing and is used to working completely independently: coating, exposing & reclaiming screens; using a power washer; basic computer skills; and working independently in a shop
- Attend one-time orientation session (price included with membership fee)
* Sessions may have to be limited in the event Members abuse the unlimited availability policy or membership grows to a point where availability becomes an issue.
** Expenses for solo show would all be the responsibility of the Member. Member may only hold two solo shows per year to ensure facilities are available for other Members to use.
*** “Months of Patronage” refers to the months in which Monthly Members pay the usage fee in order to have access to the Co-op facilities, equipment and supplies.
**** Due to scheduling conflicts it may not be possible for all Members to meet this requirement of membership. The Board of Directors may offer an alternative to this requirement that is comparable in nature.
